Type: Web development
Requirements:DapSale SAAS application was designed for businesses who do not want to maintain their own ecommerce website, but instead choose a subscription-based e-commerce platform. The app required a high performance and responsive web application that should be multi-device adaptable. This means the application must render very well in devices of different screen sizes.
The application should implement affiliate marketing and commission payout for its users.
There should be a web portal for the sellers, their customers, and their affiliates.
It should integrate PayStack payment vendor.
Sellers should be able to generate income statements for all their products or for a specific product in both excel and PDF formats.
It should have order shipping tracking and history page.
It should support downsell and upsell with coupons and product add-ons.
It should support multiple payment options such as pay on delivery, pay on pickup etc.
Challenge: The major challenge the development team encountered in this project was allowing sellers to mass-upload their products instead of entering them one at a time on the UI./p>
Solution:The team used Java's Apache POI and OpenCSV APIs to let sellers upload their products in both excel and csv files which are then programmatically transformed and stored as database records.
Results:The result is a feature rich application with awesome user interface that all users can't get enough of.
